Mysterious blue lines next to the profile view

Some Civil 3D users may experience that strange blue lines appear next to a profile view:

To remove these lines, recalculate the superelevation and tick off the Apply curve smoothing option (if the project allows not to use curve smoothing):

Note: Apply curve smoothing is mostly used for railway design but it can also be used for road design. It smoothens the rail or road edge profile:
